Vendor Do’s & Don’ts
Vendor Do’s
- Provide accurate and up-to-date business, KYC, GST, and bank details.
- List only genuine, legal, and compliant products.
- Ensure correct pricing, product descriptions, images, and specifications.
- Dispatch orders within committed timelines.
- Maintain adequate stock and update inventory regularly.
- Comply with GST laws including invoice generation and tax remittance.
- Follow Consumer Protection Act obligations related to quality, refunds and grievance handling.
- Protect customer personal data and use it only for order fulfilment.
- Maintain ethical business practices and fair competition.
Vendor Don’ts
- Do not sell illegal, counterfeit, expired, unsafe or prohibited products.
- Do not misrepresent product quality, origin, pricing or availability.
- Do not manipulate prices, ratings, reviews or sales data.
- Do not offer incentives for positive reviews or suppress negative feedback.
- Do not contact customers for marketing or off-platform transactions.
- Do not misuse or share customer personal or financial data.
- Do not evade GST or issue incorrect invoices.
- Do not bypass Takora Mart’s payment or order process
Violation of these rules may result in penalties, suspension or permanent termination of the vendor account.
Vendor Onboarding Terms & Conditions
1. Acceptance of Terms
By registering as a vendor on Takora Mart, you confirm that you have read, understood and agreed to comply with these Vendor Terms, the Vendor Policy and all applicable Indian laws.
2. Eligibility & Registration
Vendor must be legally eligible to conduct business in India.
Valid PAN, GST (where applicable) and bank account details are mandatory.
All information submitted must be accurate and verifiable.
Takora Mart reserves the right to approve, reject or revoke vendor access.
3. Vendor Responsibilities
- Product quality, legality and compliance.
- Correct pricing, tax declarations and invoicing.
- Packaging, shipping and timely delivery.
- Handling returns, refunds and replacements.
- Customer grievance resolution.
3. Fees, Commission & Settlements
- Commission and service fees will be deducted as per agreed structure.
- Vendor settlements are processed after order completion and the return window.
- All payouts are subject to compliance checks.
- Vendors are responsible for GST on their earnings.
Payment, RBI & Regulatory Compliance
Payment Processing (RBI Compliance)
- Payments are processed through RBI-authorized payment gateways.
- Takora Mart operates as a marketplace facilitator.
- No open or semi-closed wallet is operated by Takora Mart.
- Vendors must not collect payments directly from customers.
GST Compliance
- Vendors must maintain valid GST registration where applicable.
- GST invoices must be issued as per law.
- Tax collection and remittance are vendor responsibilities.
- Takora Mart is not liable for vendor tax defaults.
Consumer Protection Act, 2019
- Fair trade practices must be followed.
- Accurate representation of products is mandatory.
- Defective or unsafe products remain the vendor’s liability.
- Timely refunds and grievance redressal are required.
Data Protection & Privacy
- Customer data must be used strictly for order fulfilment.
- Data retention beyond operational necessity is prohibited.
- Sharing customer data with third parties is not permitted.
- Any data breach must be reported immediately to Takora Mart.
Suspension, Termination & Legal
Account Suspension & Termination
- Policy violations or legal non-compliance.
- Fraudulent or unethical activity.
- Repeated customer complaints.
- Non-cooperation during audits or investigations.
Governing Law & Jurisdiction
These terms are governed by the laws of India. Courts located in the High Court – Kochi, Kerala, India, shall have exclusive jurisdiction.
