Type 2 Surge Protection Device (SPD) is designed to protect electrical installations and connected equipment from indirect lightning-induced surges and switching overvoltages originating within the power network. It is the most commonly used SPD and is typically installed at sub-distribution boards (SDBs), main distribution boards (MDBs), or control panels, downstream of a Type 1 SPD or where no external lightning protection system is present.

Type 2 SPDs effectively limit transient overvoltages (8/20 μs waveform) to safe levels, preventing damage to sensitive equipment such as PLC systems, VFDs, automation panels, computers, medical devices, CCTV systems, and communication equipment. By clamping excessive voltage and safely diverting surge energy to earth, the device ensures system reliability, reduced downtime, and extended equipment life.

These SPDs are suitable for residential, commercial, and industrial applications, especially in areas prone to voltage fluctuations, switching operations, and lightning activity. Type 2 SPDs are available in multiple configurations to suit single-phase and three-phase systems, and are compatible with TN, TT, and IT earthing systems.

1. Eligibility for Returns
Returns are accepted only under the following conditions:

  • The product is damaged, defective, or not as described.

  • The customer reports the issue within 3 days of delivery.

  • The product must be unused and in its original packaging.

Note:
Due to the technical nature of electrical components, installed or used products cannot be returned.

2. Return Process

  • Once verified, we will arrange pickup from the delivery address.

3. Refund Processing
Refund will be processed in the following cases:

  • Replacement is not possible due to stock unavailability.

4. Non-Returnable Products
